Climate conditions2024 was a challenging year in terms of the weather for our vineyards. Following a mild winter (with no days of frost in either February or March), a late frost on 19 April destroyed part of the harvest on some vines and reduced the yield potential on others. The wet, mild spring led to outbreaks of downy mildew and black rot, resulting in crop losses. The weather only turned fine and dry at the end of July and lasted until 15 August. A violent storm on 24 August, accompanied by hail, caused further damage to part of the harvest. Furthermore, between mid-August and mid-October, 180 mm of rain fell. Fortunately, a few spells of fine weather allowed the grapes to be harvested in good conditions. Moreover, this weather helped to preserve a good level of freshness in the juice and, as the yield was relatively modest, the grapes were able to reach full ripeness. The harvest took place on 6 and 7 September.
Type of winemakingThe must fermented at 18°C in tanks.
Type of ageingAgeing in tanks lasted several months. Bottling occured on March 27th 2025.
