| Climate conditions | 2024 was a difficult year for our vines. After a mild winter (no frost in February or March), a late frost on 19 April wiped out part of the harvest on some vines and reduced the potential on others. The wet, mild spring led to contamination by mildew and black rot, resulting in crop losses. The weather only turned fine and dry at the end of July and until 15 August. A violent storm with hail on 24 August further damaged part of the crop. In addition, 180 mm of water fell between mid-August and mid-October. So we had to harvest rapidly the grapes in the best possible conditions. Nevertheless, this cool weather helped to preserve the freshness of the white grapes. As the quantity was relatively modest, ripeness was achieved quickly and the grapes were harvested by hand on 29 August. |
| Type of winemaking | The must fermented in vats at between 18 and 20°C, then was aged on lees, partly in vats and partly in old barrels, for three months. It was then bottled to be made into sparkling wine using the traditional method. |
| Type of ageing | It was aged for minimum 10 months in bottle, on the lees, and disgorged as required. |
| Tasting notes | This is an sparkling Brut Nature with fine bubbles and no residual sugar. Full-bodied and well-balanced, it offers aromas combining white flowers and yellow fruits. |
