Climate conditions2024 was a difficult year for our vines. After a mild winter (no frost in February or March), a late frost on 19 April wiped out part of the harvest on some vines and reduced the potential on others. The wet, mild spring led to contamination by mildew and black rot, resulting in crop losses. The weather only turned fine and dry at the end of July and until 15 August. A violent storm with hail on 24 August further damaged part of the crop. In addition, 180 mm of rain fell between mid-August and mid-October. Fortunately, a few periods of fine weather meant that the grapes could be harvested in good conditions. What's more, the weather kept the juices fresh and, as the quantity was relatively modest, the grapes were able to reach full ripeness. The grapes were picked by hand between 12 September and 1 October.
Type of winemakingGrapes fermented in old oak barrels without sulfur, at 18/20°C, in order to preserve their aromatic qualities.
Type of ageingAged in barrels during several month, to keep the fruitiness of the wine. Bottled on March 27th 2025.
Tasting notesThis is a wine whose pale pink colour already suggests elegance. It has lovely aromas of a blend of red fruits (strawberry, raspberry). Full-bodied and well-balanced on the palate, with a long, fruity finish.
Food recommandationServed at around 8°C, this is a true gourmet rosé. Try it with red mullet, Mediterranean cuisine or grilled meats: it'll do your summer tables proud!
